It is my pleasure to welcome you to Bounty Boulevard State School, where 'Every Moment Matters'.
Thank you for choosing our school and entrusting the education of your child/ren to our highly skilled and professional staff. Our goal is to maximise outcomes for all students in our school regardless of their ability, race or religion. We expect exemplary behaviour from all of our children. We believe that children should take strong ownership for not only their behaviour but also their learning. We use the research based 'Positive behaviour for learning' program in developing good behaviour.
We strive to develop all dimensions of your child – social, emotional, academic and spiritual. As your children are 21st century learners they are digital natives and our role is to adopt a multi modal approach to facilitate their growth into young learners.
Bounty Boulevard State School is a very exciting place to be and as you can see from our website there is a diversity of offerings for your child/ren. Bounty Boulevard State School is filly implementing the Australian Curriculum.
Bounty Boulevard State School is looking to continue to grow a vibrant community with the aim of improving outcomes for the students. There is strong parental engagement in our school fostered by the regular provision of parent workshops, evenings, community and cultural events facilitated by aa variety of our skilled staff.
Our 4 year strategic plan outlines our priority areas:
- Lifting the percentage of students achieving A-C and A-B in English and Mathematics. This means improving reading and writing first;
- Closing the gap between the outcomes of Indigenous students with those of non-Indigenous students;
- Lifting outcomes for students with disability.
Bounty Boulevard State School was approved as an Independent Public School in December 2014 and we have taken this as an opportunity to innovate in our practices and the recruitment of staff.
Bounty Boulevard State School is a multi-cultural school and community. Currently we have 35 different nationalities attending our school. Annually we celebrate Harmony and Diversity Day as well as NAIDOC week. Our staff, students and parents provide a highly supportive school environment which acknowledges all different cultures in our school.
Bounty Boulevard State School excels in the delivery of the creative arts and each year musicals are performed by our students in the junior and senior school. These provide a wonderful opportunity for the children to perform for the school community and the community to celebrate their children.
As principal of the school I pride myself in working very closely with the staff and community to ensure the efficient good order and management of the school. I look forward to building strong educational partnerships with you and the school. Please use our contact list to ask questions and clarify.
