At Bounty Boulevard State School we offer a Sports Development Program for selected students in Grade 6. Targeting our most talented senior students and in alignment with our local High School Sports Excellence Programs, our program's key objectives include:
- Provide high performance environment for selected Grade 6 students in promoting physical, social and sporting growth.
- Program includes sports and pathways aligned with local High School Excellence Programs, including transition opportunities and sessions with specialist teachers.
- Authentic partnerships with local sporting bodies to enrich sporting experiences and develop sustained pathways for students to engage in sport out of school, including partnerships with AFL Queensland and Redcliffe Dolphins.

Students within the Sports Development Program will participate in a range of sporting activities every Friday from 1.40pm to 2.50pm. Students are expected to participate in all sports offered within the program and maintain the following program expectations and entry requirements:
- Minimum of a B Grading in HPE practical assessment
- Minimum of a C standard for Behaviour and Effort
- Acceptable levels of behaviour out of the classroom, for example in the playground

For students in Grade 4 or 5 who have been selected in Pine Rivers or Met North District Sport, opportunities may arise to be included into this program for their specialist sport.
