Mission and values

Digital technologies have changed and the world we live in and will continue to do so at a rapid rate. A student’s ability to find and then evaluate information and construct new knowledge is enhanced through connecting with the world outside the classroom, opening new possibilities that will enable an individual to build new knowledge depending on their needs and learning styles.

eLearning at Bounty Boulevard State School is about ensuring our students are global citizens and well prepared to enter a 21st century workforce.

Our eLearning strategy at Bounty Boulevard State School is about engaging the digital generation, improving individualised learning opportunities, sparking innovation in learning, connecting to global networks and collaborating as global citizens, solving authentic problems, working in real-world contexts and enriching learning opportunities.

This is a transformative strategy to transition from traditional ways of schooling to a digital way of working that is meaningful, engaging and connected.

Our goals in eLearning are supported through an investment in information communication technologies (ICT), including:

  • interactive whiteboards and projectors, allowing for rich learning opportunities and information access
  • mobile technology, including laptops, iPads, digital cameras, video cameras and voice recorders, providing flexibility around when and where learning takes place
  • an online space to showcase student created digital content
  • student online environments, enabling students to learn anywhere, anytime, everyday.

Throughout all phases of learning, Bounty Boulevard State School students engage in 21st century literacies, categorised into four broad areas:

  1. Digital-age literacy
  2. Inventive thinking
  3. Effective communication
  4. High productivity

These literacies will enable students to develop particular skills valued in the 21st century community and workforce.
