Students with a Disability



Bounty Boulevard teachers plan for every student to participate and learn. Students with disability join in the same curriculum activities and learning programs as other students in the class with the support of suitable adjustments. This involves explicit teaching and scaffolded learning, teaching both the concepts on which the task is based and the language demands of the task, enabling all students to participate in the curriculum. Schools support students by using differentiated teaching practices, assistive technology and where necessary focused and intensive teaching.
 
This whole school approach consists of a wide range of staff supporting student access, participation and achievement. Support is directed to different levels of student need. Schools identify the appropriate layer of support through analysis of student data and ongoing monitoring of student progress.
