Communication at Bounty

Several strategies have been put in place to assist parents to find information about Bounty Boulevard State School.  Our school website is a central strategy to to provide  information. Parents and carers are invited to download the QSchools app and favourite Bounty Boulevard State School. This is an excellent one-stop shop for current information about the school.

The latest school news will be posted on the home page. Every fortnight, a school newsletter can be downloaded from the school website

The What's Happening section on the front page of the website gives a quick snapshot of current events. By click on Calendar and news this allows parents and carers to plan ahead with future dates on the Bounty calendar.

The new school sign located on Bounty Boulevard gives parents and carers a quick snapshot of what is happening at the school. This sign serves as an excellent tool in reminding and informing the school community about upcoming events.

Parents/Carers might consider logging on to Twitter to follow @bountyblvdss. Teachers will post tweets on behalf of the students about the learning that has occurred during a school session. The Twitter stream is at the bottom of the home page for parents and carers to follow.

Parent Liaisons support teachers to maintain an effective communication strategy for parents to receive community, school, cohort and classroom news. Invitations will be sent home with students in the first week of the school year for parents to volunteer to be a liaison contact for their child’s class. Parents will work together with the class teachers to:

  • establish and maintain a strong communication network that supports student learning;

  • welcome new students and their families to the school community; and

  • communicate upcoming class events and coordinate volunteer rosters.

Classroom teachers will nominate times within the year to meet with parents to discuss student progress. Parents/Carers are welcome at any time to discuss their child’s progress however I ask parents to request an appointment time with the teacher so that an appropriate time can be arranged for the meeting.

Bounty Boulevard State School parents/carers are welcome to attend monthly Parents and Citizens Association meetings.  The meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm in the school administration building.

Parents/Carers can contact Bounty Boulevard State School by phone 3482 1333.
