Welcome to Bounty Day - 20th January 2017

6/12/2016

SAVE THE DATE - WELCOME TO BOUNTY DAY

Next year, we will be combining different events into one major event for our school. The Welcome to Bounty day will be commencing from 12:00pm on Friday 20th of January. This will provide parents and carers the opportunity to view class lists for the year ahead, listen to the cohort leader and Deputy Principal of each year level provide information about the year ahead, meet and greet with the P&C and School Council members and drop off book packs to the children’s new classes.

This is an opportunity for parents and carers along with their child to meet their new child’s new teacher for the year. Parents and carers are invited at this time to make an appointment with their child’s new teacher for a future date once school has begun . The classroom doors will be closing at 2:00pm.

Please note - 2017 Prep class lists and parent information session is on Thursday 19th of January from 4:00pm.

A movie night under the stars will be occurring on the BBSS School Oval with Despicable Me being shown to the community. This will be a wonderful way to begin the new year with such a positive event for our school. Here is a timetable for the day:

12:00—Class Lists on Display in Middle Years Undercover Area. Parents and Carers can drop off book packs to new classrooms.

12:30— Parent Information Sessions Yr 1 - Prep Undercover Area, Year 4 - Early Years Undercover, Year 6 - O Block.

1:00—Parent Information Sessions Yr 2 - Prep Undercover Area, Year 3 - Early Years Undercover Area, Year 5 - O Block.

2:00—Classrooms closed.

Evening— P&C Movie Night. Despicable Me to be shown to the community. Movie under the stars on the school oval.

A paper copy of the information that is being discussed at the parent information sessions will be distributed to parents unable to attend.

Please be advised that the proposed class lists are based on the current student enrolments. If there are significant changes to student enrolments, this may necessitate classes to be restructured. If any restructures are to occur, this will happen in week three of term one, after the Department of Education & Training (DET) student census on day 8.
