Life Education at Bounty


In Term 2, (week 1 – week 4), Life Education will be visiting Bounty Boulevard State School. All year levels will have the opportunity to take part in this program.

Life Education is a not for profit, charity organisation.  Due to some significant funding that Life Education has secured through Queensland Health they are in a position to provide the program to you at a minimal cost of just $9.00 per student. This is a saving of over $8.50 per student. The $9.00 is for one session 1 – 1.5 hrs depending on the year level of the students.

Life Education has been supporting Queensland schools and classroom teachers to deliver health education for more than 30 years. The program is updated and aligned to both the existing Queensland curriculum and the draft ACARA Health and Physical Education curriculum. They work with schools, teachers, parents and students to deliver programs which provide a stimulating, interactive learning environment that creates a memorable experience for children. The content spans from pre-school to year 6 and includes the following key areas:

·         Body Systems

·         Food and nutrition

·         Social relationships

·         Personal hygiene

·         Personal safety

·         Physical activity

·         Safety with Medicines

·         Cyber safety (a brand new program for children in middle and upper primary)

·         Bullying

·         Peer and social pressures

·         Legal drugs: alcohol, tobacco and caffeine

At the end of term a time table of when classes will be attending the program will be sent out through our usual means of communication. Any camps and excursions that may be on during this time will be taken into consideration, so your child will not miss out.
