AWAT Expo 2017

9/10/2017
In 2018, every child will have access to an iPad through the Anywhere, Anytime initiative. This will create a one-to-one (1:1) learning environment meaning every child will be using an iPad as a tool for learning.

This year has seen the roll-out of Anywhere, Anytime (AWAT) across Year 3. The AWAT Expo to be held on Thursday 19th of October from 5:00pm will feature:

Showcase of student learning

Interactive teacher presentations

Vendor Stalls (JB Hi-Fi, School Locker, Harvey Norman, Comp Now, New Gauge Digital)

STEM Room

Parent Information Sessions

Event Passport Prizes

Sausage sizzle organised by our school P&C

This event will also provide parents with an opportunity to find out more about the program. This event is open to the entire parent community and Bounty students from Prep-Year 6.

It is the responsibility of parents to supervise their children throughout the Expo

This letter is only being distributed to Year 2 and Year 3 parents as these are the students who will be participating in the program in 2018. Parents and carers can RSVP by following this link: RSVP for AWAT Expo 2017

At Bounty, we believe in creating and inspiring the next generation of learners to set up our children for future success in all that they do. How we create and inspire the next generation of learners is by providing and integrating learning platforms our children will require for success now and in the future. For our Year 3 and 4 students in 2018, the Anywhere, Anytime initiative will ensure students engage in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and innovation with the future in mind.

Later on in the term, an audit will be completed of all Year 2 & 3 parents and carers to enquire how students will participate in AWAT in 2018. This information is critical for the school as it will inform planning and infrastructure within the school. With over 400 students expected to be enrolled across the Year 3 & 4 cohort in 2018, for students who are not bringing in their own iPad (BYOD), iPads will be provided for students with an aim for every student to have their own iPad or at least be able to share a school owned iPad.

By having vendors at the Expo, parents and carers will have the opportunity to speak directly to different businesses and explore the different purchasing options that these companies can provide.

This event is not too be missed. This will be an excellent opportunity to find out more about how as a school we integrate technology into learning every day.
